Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center in the United States seeks an imaging aide to support CT and MRI procedures. You will assist patients before exams, manage room setup, and coordinate with radiologists and technologists to ensure smooth workflow.

The role requires good communication, basic computer skills, and IV insertion ability, with rotating weekend/holiday coverage. BLS is required and training on IV starts will be provided.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required upon hire.
• HSE/GED or high school diploma must be completed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced imaging department.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in exam prep and provide basic instructions; transport and escort as needed.
• Use radiology systems to generate requisitions, check schedules and obtain patient data.
• Prepare and organize exam rooms and maintain equipment; stock supplies as required.
• Greet patients, respond to requests, answer calls, and schedule appointments.
• Serve as liaison between ordering physician, radiologist and technologist.
• Provide reports/images to staff and manage health information records and films.
• Document information and communicate observations to the care team.
• Perform routine maintenance and quality monitoring of imaging equipment.
• Assist with MRI implant screening when required.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care following department policies.
