Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Corporate is seeking a proactive Imaging Call Center specialist to support timely imaging communication and patient coordination at our Atlantic Station site. You will liaise with radiologists, providers, and nursing staff, ensuring accurate notifications and smooth operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year in a call center or similar setting, with strong communication skills and comfort with medical workflows.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year of call center/office experience preferred.
• Experience in a medical setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct calls for imaging with critical results.
• Be first line contact for radiologists, providers, and nursing staff.
• Review reports and notify patients/physicians via Epic chat, e-fax, in-basket.
• Maintain the critical results tracker to ensure timely communication.
• Verify MRI safety for outpatients with implants using interrogation protocols.
• Notify providers if devices fail interrogation to plan care.
• Coordinate post-device interrogation scheduling with Patient Connection Center.
• Request/organize outside imaging for exam correlation (Powershare).
• Assist with basic office tasks to support Imaging Call Center.
