Job summary

MyMichigan Health imaging support services is seeking a dedicated patient transport specialist to augment the imaging department. You will assist with patient transport to and from radiology, prep patients for procedures, and support safe transfers on imaging equipment.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential to maintain patient safety and department workflow. Responsibilities include prioritizing runs by acuity, using Epic systems, and following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Computer tasks and Epic applications are used daily.
• Follow established safety procedures for patient transfers.
• Maintain confidentiality and document in medical records.
• Must demonstrate competency in Microsoft Windows.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport ER and inpatient to the radiology department.
• Assist with transferring patients on and off imaging tables.
• Stage and prep inpatients/outpatients for imaging procedures.
• Dispatch and prioritize runs based on acuity and communicate with teams.
• Triage calls and provide patient care duties within scope.
