Job summary

Premier Health is seeking a part-time Medical Imaging Tech Assistant in the Medical Imaging unit. The role involves transporting patients to and from referral points, assisting staff technologists, and maintaining equipment with a focus on safety and customer service.

Responsibilities include patient handling, updating the EMR, stocking, and assisting in image-related tasks as needed. CPR certification within 30 days of hire is required, and High School completion is the minimum education.

Qualifications

• EMR proficiency and basic computer tasks required.
• Knowledge of radiation safety expected.
• Familiarity with MRI safety is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort and transport patients of all ages by cart, bed, or wheelchair to and from hospital points.
• Provide physical assistance to staff during patient transfers as needed.
• Update patient information in the computerized system and support patient tracking.
• Assist patients with personal needs and communicate patient conditions to staff.
• Maintain equipment and report any faults or loss; manage equipment storage and rounds during downtimes.
• Follow Radiation Safety policies and keep supplies stocked; assist in linen management and room turnover.
