Job summary

HCA Florida Ocala Hospital Imaging Center is seeking an Imaging Supervisor to lead daily operations in our multi-modality imaging department. Under the Imaging Director, you will coordinate procedures, ensure quality and throughput for outpatients, and support departmental leadership.

The role emphasizes staff supervision, accreditation maintenance, and hands-on technologist duties when needed. Applicants should bring Florida licensure, ARRT-R, BLS, and 3–5 years of leadership experience.

Qualifications

  • Must have an Associate Degree or Vocational School Graduate credential.
  • Must hold a State of Florida license to practice radiography.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist in Radiography (ARRT-R) required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • 3–5 years of leadership experience in imaging preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises daily duties of imaging staff.
  • Manages supplies and updates medical equipment.
  • Handles accreditation renewals and ensures compliance.
  • Schedules staff and coordinates department coverage.
  • Acts as Preceptor for new technologists.
  • Oversees MQSA inspection records and Mammography QC.
  • Supports credentialing and policy adherence across the team.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the direction of the Imaging Director, performs and coordinates those dutis directly involved with the completion of all requested procedures of the Imaging Department with regards to quality and quantity, providing services to outpatients of all age groups. Assists the Imaging Director in planning, organizing, staffing, and directing functions to ensure the effective operation of the department.

Essential Functions:
  • Supervises employees’ duties and their work process daily.
  • Responsible for maintaining all supplies and ensuring proper maintenance and updates of medical equipment.
  • Responsible for new accreditation applications, existing accreditation renewals, and ensuring the facility meets all requirements for maintenance of accreditations and designations.
  • Responsible for staff scheduling and departmental coverage in all modalities, including flexing hours to align with scheduled resources, and the timely, real-time communication of staffing shortages to appropriate leaders and the department, without delay until physical presence on site.
  • Functions as Preceptor for new technologist hires, taking an active role in onboarding and aligning new hires with HCA’s policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for Mammo QC and annual MQSA inspection, including all records maintenance required for this role.
  • Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff.
  • Performs in the capacity of staff technologist as operationally required, in the modalities the employee is credentialed at the time of hiring and/or upon acknowledgement of this job description.
  • Other duties as assigned.
