Job summary

HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital in Sanford, FL is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using ionizing radiation. The role requires ARRT-R, RT Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer credentials, and an Associate Degree, with BCLS certification to be obtained within 30 days of start date. The position includes a Wednesday–Friday shift from 10:00 a.m.

to 10:30 p.m. and requires call.

Qualifications

  • ARRT-R Radiography certification required.
  • RT Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer credential.
  • Associate Degree required.
  • BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

  • Performs radiographic procedures using ionizing radiation.
  • Regulates and operates radiographic equipment and develops films.
  • Maintains ALARA standards and safety during procedures.
  • Provides patient care during imaging procedures.
  • Establishes rapport with staff and patients; position requires call.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Shift Information for Position - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 10a - 1030p

Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology. Regulates the equipment used to expose the radiographic film, develops and organizes films. Operates equipment safely and maintains A.L.A.R.A. standards while performing all types of procedures. Provides patient care during Imaging procedures. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff. Position requires call.

  • Associate Degree
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
