Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a Sonographer to provide ultrasound procedures and high-quality imaging for diagnostic and interventional needs in a busy clinical setting.

The role involves operating ultrasound equipment, relaying images with relevant clinical data to the physician, and assisting with scheduling and inventory management. Candidates must be ARDMS/ARRT registered and capable of on-call coverage after hours.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Program or equivalent education.
  • ARDMS Registered in physics and one other registry, or ARRT (S) Sonography.
  • ARDMS RVT, or ARRT (VS) Vascular Sonography required within one year.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Job Summary And Qualifications

Provides care for patients requiring Ultrasound procedures. Performs all duties directly involved with procedures utilizing Ultrasound for diagnostic and interventional procedures. Operates equipment setting appropriate technical factors to produce diagnostic quality images according to radiology practice standards, and relay images along with pertinent clinical information to the physician for interpretation. Assists with inventory management and patient scheduling. Takes on-call as assigned to provide after-hours high volume coverage.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Program or equivalent education
