Trinity Health in Ann Arbor, MI seeks an Imaging Services Extern to assist with screening, positioning, and imaging under the supervision of a Registered Imaging Technologist and Radiologist. This externship is limited to 18 months and is designed for students enrolled in an accredited Imaging Services program.

The role requires safety screening, patient identification, and adherence to department protocols, with participation in student education and daily job functions.

Qualifications

• Must be in the first or second year of an accredited Imaging Services program with at least 40% completion.
• Radiology Technologist: completion of first year of a two-year program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Responsabilités

• Screen patients for safety issues prior to exam.
• Identify patient and verify orders using two identifiers.
• Perform exams with proper technique and views per protocol.
• Complete patient-related documentation per policy.
• Review schedules to anticipate potential problems.
• Maintain department supplies and notify when restocking is needed.
• Participate in training related to radiology applications.
• Assist in student education as set by the program.
