Job summary

Trinity Health Livonia is seeking an Imaging Student Extern in X-Ray for a part-time, rotating shift role. The student radiology technologist will assist with screening, positioning and imaging under on-site supervision, adhering to department protocols and patient safety.

You must be enrolled in the Radiologic Technologist program and hold a current BLS certification; ARRT certification is targeted within 6 months after program completion.

Qualifications

• Completion of the first year of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and currently enrolled in the second year Radiologic Technologist program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Within 6 months after program completion, ARRT (R) certification must be obtained.
• Incumbents may remain in this role for up to 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Screen, position and image patients under supervision.
• Care for safety and privacy of patient and staff.
• Maintain proper scheduling and documentations in PACS/RadNet workflows.
• Collaborate with Radiology Team Leader and Radiologist to ensure diagnostic quality.
