Job summary

York General seeks an experienced Director of Imaging Services to lead Radiology, Ultrasound and Central Scheduling. This senior role drives operations, quality, regulatory readiness, staffing, and resource management to deliver safe, efficient diagnostic imaging and outstanding patient care.

Reporting to the COO/CNO, you will mentor staff, oversee budgets and equipment needs, collaborate with physicians and leaders, and ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation standards while

Qualifications

• Must have formal radiologic technology training from an AMA-approved program.
• Current ARRT certification is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Board certification in CT and MRI is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the overall operations of the Radiology, Ultrasound, and Central Scheduling departments.
• Lead, mentor, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate staff while ensuring appropriate staffing levels and qualifications.
• Maintain departmental policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with state, federal, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee quality assurance programs and ensure all imaging services meet licensing and accreditation standards.
• Develop and manage departmental goals, budgets, resources, and equipment needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and organizational leaders to improve patient care, efficiency, and service delivery.
• Assess community and market needs to identify opportunities for service growth and advancement.
• Coordinate imaging and scheduling services with medical staff and other hospital departments.
• Ensure imaging equipment and patient care environments are maintained in a safe, clean, and organized manner.
• Serve on organizational committees, participate in leadership initiatives, and act as Administrator On Call as assigned.
