Job summary

Community Health Systems seeks a Director of Imaging to lead the diagnostic imaging services, ensuring safe, high-quality care. You will work with physicians, nursing and hospital leaders to optimize imaging, achieve regulatory compliance and improve patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes operational, clinical and financial leadership, equipment management, and collaboration across departments to support strategic goals and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or seven years of direct experience in lieu of degree.
• Seven or more years of experience in imaging/diagnostic leadership preferred.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Experience in regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
• Proficient with healthcare software systems and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily operations of the Imaging department, ensuring safe, high‑quality and efficient services.
• Develops, implements, and monitors goals, policies, and performance standards.
• Ensures compliance with regulations, accreditation standards, and policies.
• Oversees QA, patient safety and regulatory readiness initiatives.
• Collaborates with physicians and nursing to enhance patient care and service delivery.
• Manages imaging equipment maintenance, OEM liaison, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversees imaging information systems (RIS, PACS, EMR) and data analytics.
• Provides leadership and staff development, scheduling and evaluations.
