Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, Florida seeks an Imaging Services support associate to provide clerical and technical assistance within the department. You will help with patient flow, room setup, and coordination of imaging exams, while maintaining accurate electronic records.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and BLS credentials; experience in a hospital setting is helpful. This is a days shift with emphasis on patient safety and service quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
• BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD).
• BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD).
• BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA).
• BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE).
• BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC).

Responsibilities

• Assists staff with lift assists and repositioning of patients when needed.
• Performs post-procedural duties including room clean up, and restocking supplies.
• Assists with inventory control.
• Transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher, bed or neuro chair to designated sites as requested, including patients with oxygen tanks, IV pumps, drips, monitors and other equipment.
• Handles workflow in clinical imaging areas.
• Assists with coordinating patient flow to department, prioritizing and distributing work to technical staff under leadership guidance.
• Creates electronic files for release of information to authorized individuals, including legal requests via subpoena.
• Manages electronic Imaging exam for timely interpretation, oversees interpretation workflow for Interpreting physicians.
• Performs audits for un-interpreted electronic exams, or for any electronic files incorrectly stored.
• Communicates findings of Imaging exams to various caregivers, including verifying transmission of critical findings.
• Greet patients, verify prescriptions, providers and schedule patients as needed; communicate with departments to facilitate efficient care.
