Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; BLS certifications required/preferred.
• Medical Terminology course or equivalent recommended.
• One year of clerical experience; hospital/physician office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates imaging findings to caregivers and verifies transmission of critical findings.
• Transports patients using wheelchairs, stretchers, beds or neuro chairs.
• Creates electronic files for release of information to authorized individuals; handles subpoenas and legal requests.
• Manages electronic imaging exams for timely interpretation and supports interpretation workflow.
• Performs audits for exams pending final interpretation or misfiled electronic records.
• Manages and distributes radiology imaging and PHI; prepares and distributes patient records (films, CDs/DVDs, electronic releases).
• Performs daily workstation inspections and escalates issues to Radiology IT.
