Job summary

Intelas, a Compass Healthcare company, is seeking a BMET III to join our imaging equipment service team. You will perform planned maintenance, calibrations, and safety inspections on radiology and related devices, ensuring uptime and regulatory compliance across hospital settings.

Ideal candidates have at least five years in radiology equipment repair, with broad modality knowledge (MRI, CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine) and a willingness to be on-call.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics/Imaging Technology or Biomedical Equipment Technology (or military training).
• At least five years of experience with various imaging equipment manufacturers or related experience.
• Minimum of five years of experience in repair of radiology equipment and prior biomedical experience.
• Specialized knowledge in modalities such as radiology, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, CT, cath. lab, linear accelerators, etc.
• CRES certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive maintenance, calibrations where required and electrical safety inspections on imaging and related equipment in compliance with standards.
• Perform major repairs by replacing defective components and readjust components per manufacturer specs; certification may be required to complete repairs.
• Assist with diagnostic imaging cross training of BMET Technicians.
• Confer with manufacturer representatives to resolve equipment-related problems.
• Provide emergency on-call responsibilities.
• Research and initiate orders for repair parts within budget parameters.
• Maintain Quality Assurance records and reports for compliance with specs and policies.
• Document all asset-related actions per department practices.
• Capable of performing all duties of a BMET III.
