Job summary

Midstate Radiology Associates is seeking an Outpatient Scheduling Agent for the Wallingford Imaging site. The role focuses on maximizing schedule utilization by actively managing office schedules and filling open appointment slots across multiple imaging modalities.

Responsibilities include outbound scheduling, patient registration workflow, and data verification. The position runs on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, with a starting pay range of $20.00 to $25.30 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience providing healthcare-related customer service and scheduling is preferred.
• Experience being accountable for call center metrics is preferred (answer time, average handle time, return to queue, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage schedules across imaging modalities to maximize appointment availability.
• Schedule patients across multiple locations by outbound calls and referrals.
• Enter accurate patient demographic and insurance information during scheduling.
• Explain financial requirements and collect insurance co-pays as applicable.
• Coordinate with internal departments and referring physicians to verify patient data.
