Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, records management and basic computer skills.
• Ability to deal appropriately with confidential information.
• Able to function effectively with frequent interruptions and multitask daily.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets all customers; courteously answers the phone with a greeting, the department name, and identifies the caller.
• Transfers calls when appropriate and takes accurate messages.
• Reception, copying, faxing, scanning, filing and other essential office duties. Maintains files.
• Check in patient for exams and procedures.
• Obtains and inputs data for outpatient services.
• Assists patients and staff with locating images for sharing with radiologists and providers.
• Discretely handles confidential information in EMR, PACs, PHI.
• Initiates and maintains imaging records, reports and resources.
• Anticipates equipment and supply needs for Imaging Department.
