Job summary

Globus Medical in the United States is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to install, service and test our medical imaging and surgical products at customer sites, primarily hospitals. You will perform on-site installation, site acceptance testing, preventative maintenance, and upgrades, while documenting outcomes and coordinating with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; science or engineering degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer in a field service role; experience in the medical device industry.
• X-ray experience across general radiography, fluoroscopy, DR, C-arms preferred.
• Experience with GMP and ISO standards as well as a strong understanding of healthcare capital equipment.
• Ability to get into and out of hospital settings and keep all vendor requirements up to date.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
• Strong knowledge of quality and/or reliability engineering is a plus.
• Ability to travel on short notice and provide service in assigned geography.
• Self-starter; able to work independently and as a key contributor in small teams.
• Excellent oral, written, and graphical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interface with internal and external customers for coordination, planning and service issues.
• Install Globus Medical product on-site at hospitals per installation procedures.
• Perform site acceptance testing to demonstrate operational performance per product specs and test procedures.
• Demonstrate system functionality to customer representatives and obtain documented concurrence.
• Respond to customer issues by diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing product and confirming resolution.
• Perform preventative maintenance on-site at customer facilities.
• Update products to resolve issues and upgrade capabilities.
• Document customer feedback, issues and complaints per company procedures.
• Document results of customer visits including installation and system functionality tests.
• Participate in and help manage RMA processing.
• Travel nationally and internationally as needed with deployment increases.
• Adhere to Code of Conduct and regulatory training; maintain compliance knowledge.
• Represent the company professionally and uphold ethical business practices.
