Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Radiology Records Clerk to maintain and manage radiology records at UAB St Vincent's Blount in Alabama. This PRN, on-site role focuses on accurate record identification, retrieval, and delivery for appointments, procedures, and research, while supporting policy development on storage and access.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or one year of related experience; licensure can substitute as applicable, and a commitment to accurate, timely documentation

Qualifications

High School diploma equivalent or 1 year of relevant experience required.
Note: professional licensure/certification may substitute education/experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain radiology records to facilitate access to and delivery of information.
Use the radiology information system to identify, loan and track radiology records.
Coordinate record retrieval and delivery for all radiology and clinic appointments, hospital procedures and other needs as requested.
Assist with the development and implementation of departmental policies concerning the storage, delivery and retrieval of radiology records.
Perform and document research on missing files.
