Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Radiology Records Clerk to maintain and manage radiology records at UAB St Vincent's Blount in Alabama. This PRN, on-site role focuses on accurate record identification, retrieval, and delivery for appointments, procedures, and research, while supporting policy development on storage and access.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or one year of related experience; licensure can substitute as applicable, and a commitment to accurate, timely documentation

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalent or 1 year of relevant experience required.
• Note: professional licensure/certification may substitute education/experience.

• Maintain radiology records to facilitate access to and delivery of information.
• Use the radiology information system to identify, loan and track radiology records.
• Coordinate record retrieval and delivery for all radiology and clinic appointments, hospital procedures and other needs as requested.
• Assist with the development and implementation of departmental policies concerning the storage, delivery and retrieval of radiology records.
• Perform and document research on missing files.
