Job summary

Baptist Health in Miami, FL is seeking a clerical records specialist to maintain accurate and complete records in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

You will interact with physicians, patients and staff, use PACS/RIS systems, and ensure timely release of digital information. Demonstrated customer service and computer proficiency are valued; no experience required. The role supports our faith-based mission and commitment to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in customer/guest services, film library/medical records experience preferred.
• Must be self-directed with excellent problem solving, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Must also be computer proficient.
• Requires strong organizational skills with detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate and complete clerical systems and records.
• Ensures high degree of customer satisfaction by consistently using AIDET standards.
• Works closely with physicians and serves as department liaison supporting all clinical areas.
• Fully understands and utilizes the Picture Archive Communication Systems (PACS) and RIS/SMS systems.
• Oversees the release of digital information and ensures the availability of records to the patients, physicians and clinical staff for all studies and procedures.
