Job summary

Baptist Health, a major not-for-profit healthcare system, seeks a health information professional to manage patient information requests across 8 acute care hospitals and 50+ locations. You will ensure compliant disclosure of records and support a high-volume release of information workflow while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in release of records in a large healthcare organization
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical chart formats
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High volume telephone experience and customer service orientation
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary source of support for the Health System requesting release of health information
• Review requests for health information for proper disclosures in compliance with HIPAA and relevant laws
• Answer phone calls and provide information adhering to policy
• Collaborate with team to meet release of information goals
