Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved two-year program.
• Six (6) months to be fully proficient.
• RT- Radiography Technology (MA state license) or RT Temp - Radiography Technology Temporary (MA state license)

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient’s identity and evaluate patient’s ability to understand requirements.
• Explain and confirm patient preparation prior to radiographic/fluoroscopic examinations.
• Examine radiographic requisition for accuracy and completeness of information.
• Sequence imaging procedures to avoid residual contrast affecting future exams.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and modesty during procedures.
• Verify or obtain patient consent as necessary.
• Follow standard precautions and isolation procedures as required.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and document radiographic procedures.
• Operate radiographic, fluoroscopy and digital imaging equipment and process images.
