Job summary

South Shore Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform interpretive, patient care and technical radiographic functions under supervision. The role emphasizes accurate imaging, patient safety, and strict adherence to imaging protocols.

The incumbent will confirm patient identity, explain procedures, prepare patients, and operate radiographic equipment including fluoroscopy and PACS. MA licensure is required, with a focus on minimizing radiation exposure and ensuring quality

Qualifications

Must be graduate of an approved radiography program.
Licensed RT in Massachusetts or eligible for MA licensure.
Proven ability to perform radiographic procedures with patient safety in mind.

Responsibilities

Verify patient identity and prepare for examinations.
Explain and confirm patient preparation and instructions.
Image and process radiographs per protocol; adjust settings for image quality.
Maintain sterile technique and equipment safety; monitor patient during procedures.
Observe and respond to adverse reactions to contrast media when applicable.
Document examinations and ensure accurate radiology records.
Support radiation protection practices and minimize patient exposure.
