Qualifikationen

• Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience or successful completion of a radiology technical training program (as determined by MSHS) within 6 months of accepting this offer.
• N.Y. State Dept. of Health Licensed Radiologic Technologist and/or current temporary permit under section 3505 of the Public Health Law pending examination for licensure; permit valid for 180 days from date of issue.

Aufgaben

• Performs routine radiological procedures.
• Applies technical judgment to obtain studies of acceptable diagnostic quality according to protocols and patient needs.
• Assists, prepares and positions patients for radiological procedures.
• Provides patient education relevant to imaging procedures and informs patients of the procedure and instructions.
• Ensures all radiographic images are labeled per department SOP and transmitted to PACS in a timely fashion.
• Maintains infection control and room cleanliness, and ensures equipment readiness for duties.
• Records patient tracking information into IDX and schedules exams.
• Supervises radiology students and communicates repair needs for equipment.
