Montefiore Nyack Hospital is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to operate CT scanners, administer contrast, and support radiology services in the evening shift. The role requires ARRT CT and radiography certifications and a NYS radiologic license, with duties including patient preparation, safety, and image transfer to PACS.

The position emphasizes teamwork, patient care, and adherence to ALARA radiation safety standards, with ongoing department education and performance improvement

Formación

• Associate degree required.
• One year general radiographic experience required.
• One year CT experience required.
• ARRT radiography certification required on hire.
• ARRT CT certification required on hire.
• New York State radiologic licensure required on hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• IV certification training available onsite within 90 days.

Responsabilidades

• Operate CT scanner to produce cross-sectional radiographs for diagnostic purposes.
• Administer IV contrast as ordered and review images with Radiologist.
• Prepare CT room, stock supplies, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Explain exams to patients to relieve anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Monitor patient condition during procedures and report changes.
• Review images and send to PACS for radiologist interpretation.
• Rotate holidays and participate in department meetings per union.
