Mount Sinai Queens is seeking a Radiologic Technologist-Imaging to perform radiographic examinations on patients referred by physicians in accordance with Radiology protocols.

The role performs routine radiographic procedures, positions patients, labels images, transmits studies to PACS, and upholds infection control and equipment readiness. NYS licensure or a temporary permit is required, with six months to a year of related experience preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Six months to one year related experience and/or training, or completion of a radiology training program within 6 months.
• New York State Department of Health Licensed Radiologic Technologist or current temporary permit under section 3505 of the Public Health Law pending examination.

Aufgaben

• Performs routine radiological procedures.
• Applies the necessary technical judgment to obtain studies of an acceptable diagnostic quality according to written protocols and patients' needs.
• Assists, prepares and positions patients as required to perform radiological procedures.
• Provides patient education relevant to imaging procedures and informs the patient of the procedure and instructions.
• Ensures all radiographic images are labeled as specified by the department SOP.
• Maintains infection control and PPE usage according to policies.
• Transmits radiographs to PACS in a timely fashion.
• Maintains imaging room cleanliness and supplies for safe practice.
• Records and schedules exams in IDX and Radiology Information Systems.
