Job summary

Mount Sinai Queens is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic examinations and support physicians with imaging protocols. You will position patients, obtain diagnostic-quality images, and ensure proper labeling and timely transmission to PACS.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment and room cleanliness, adhering to infection control, and supervising radiology students while complying with the Public Health Code and department SOPs.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent education/experience.
• New York State licensed Radiologic Technologist or temporary permit pending licensure.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine radiological procedures according to protocols.
• Properly position and prepare patients for imaging procedures.
• Educates patients about imaging procedures and instructions as needed.
• Ensures radiographs are labeled per SOP and transmitted to PACS promptly.
• Maintains room cleanliness and inventories, reports equipment issues.
• Assists physicians as required and supervises radiology students.
• Adheres to infection control policies to prevent spread of infection.
