Job summary

Landauer is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Physicist with a home office based in North Carolina or South Carolina. The ideal candidate will be motivated, quick to learn, and a strong team player with excellent communication to interact with health care professionals daily.

The role includes performing comprehensive medical physics surveys across radiographic, fluoroscopic, MRI and nuclear medicine imaging modalities, supporting ACR accreditation, and ensuring compliance with radiation safety and

Qualifications

Master’s degree or higher in health physics, physics, medical physics, biomedical engineering or equivalent.
Experience in Imaging Physics practice areas: Health Physics, Radiation Safety, Mammography, MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Ultrasound.
Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to new topics.
Ability to develop processes to improve team efficiency.
Strong verbal and written communication to lead teams or clients.

Responsibilities

Perform medical physics surveys for radiographic, fluoroscopic, breast imaging, ultrasound, CT, MRI, stereotactic breast biopsy and PET/SPECT/SPECT-CT systems.
Support ACR Accreditation surveys.
Perform nuclear medicine surveys including gamma cameras, PET, and RAM licensing support.
Meet continuing education requirements for mammography, CT, MRI, ultrasound, PET and nuclear medicine.
Complete reports on time with data analysis, observations, and follow-up actions.
Support Radioactive Materials License and all Radiation Safety aspects.
