Job summary

Landauer, part of Fortive, is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Physicist with a home-office base in the Carolinas. The candidate will perform comprehensive imaging system surveys across radiographic, CT, MRI, PET/Nuclear Medicine, and ultrasound, with responsibility for documentation and reporting.

The role requires ABR certification or eligibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel regionally to NC, SC, and VA. Regional office in Cary, NC; remote work options may be available.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in health physics, physics, medical physics, biomedical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in imaging physics practice: Health Physics, Radiation Safety, Mammography, MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, PET, radiological/fluoroscopy surveys, and Ultrasound.
• Ability to learn new procedures quickly and apply knowledge to new topics.
• Develop processes to improve team efficiency and speed.
• Lead teammates or clients in surveys and navigating regulatory landscape using technical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical physics surveys across radiographic, fluoroscopic, breast imaging, ultrasound, CT, MRI, PET/SPECT imaging systems.
• Support ACR Accreditation surveys.
• Perform nuclear medicine surveys including gamma cameras and PET.
• Prepare reports with observations and follow-up actions.
• Support Radioactive Materials License and Radiation Safety.
