Job summary

Allegheny Health Network Imaging Department seeks an Imaging Support Assistant to help transport patients, prepare them for procedures and perform post-procedure tasks. You will verify patient identity and assist technologists during imaging procedures.

The role includes inventory support, data entry in the EMR, and occasional nonclinical duties. A high school diploma or GED is required, with CPR and background clearances as applicable.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Preferred 1 year experience in a medical or imaging office setting.
• CPR certification and background clearances may be required.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from clinical areas and verifies identity.
• Assists technologists with preparing patients for procedures.
• Performs post-procedural duties including discharge, room cleanup and restocking supplies.
• Assists with inventory control and with delivering/retrieving patient reports/imaging in the EMR.
