Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join the Via Christi St. Francis Hospital imaging team in Wichita, KS. The role supports Diagnostic Radiology with rotating PRN schedules, including some weekend and holiday hours, under supervision to ensure high-quality imaging care.

Applicants should be enrolled in or have completed an accredited Radiologic Technology program, and hold a high school diploma or equivalent. A current BLS certification is required within 1 month of hire.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month (30 days) of hire date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• High school diploma equivalency OR enrolled in accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Enrolled 2nd year of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential patient services within your scope of practice and under supervision of a registered technologist.
• Assist technologists and physicians with imaging procedures and prepare contrast media to support clinical workflow.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort by maintaining clean, orderly procedure environments and assisting with transitions between imaging units.
• Document patient care journeys and departmental workflows accurately for compliant medical records.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Provide essential patient services within your accepted scope of practice and in alignment with state and federal regulations, working under the direct supervision of a registered technologist to ensure clinical excellence.
• Support high-quality diagnostic outcomes by assisting technologists and physicians with imaging procedures and precisely preparing contrast media to facilitate a seamless clinical workflow.
• Champion patient safety and comfort by managing clean, orderly procedure environments and assisting with physical transitions between imaging units.
• Document patient care journeys and departmental workflows with accuracy to maintain high-quality medical records and ensure regulatory compliance.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required.
