Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City, FL is hiring a Radiology Technologist for the Diagnostic Radiology department. The role supports imaging procedures, positions patients, and assists supervising technologists and physicians to deliver accurate studies.

The position requires BLS within 30 days of hire and a high school diploma or enrollment in an accredited radiology program, with preference for enrollment in the 2nd semester of an accredited radiology program.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline.
• Enrolled in 2nd semester of accredited radiology program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients and selects exposure factors accurately.
• Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
• Prepare for and assist the supervising technologists and physicians in a variety of imaging procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
