Job summary

Ascension is seeking a CT Technologist at Ascension Sacred Heart Gulf in Port St. Joe, FL. The role involves capturing high-quality diagnostic CT images, ensuring safety, and supporting physicians during procedures.

You will prepare contrast media and verify data to provide physician-ready information for treatment decisions. Qualification highlights include BLS, and ARRT/ARDMS or equivalent CT-related credentials.

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification/Registration required: BLS Provider within 1 month of hire.
• One or more of the following: Cardiographic Tech (CCI), ARRT CT, Florida Radiologic Technology, ARRT Radiography, or ARDMS Sonography.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-fidelity diagnostic images by positioning patients and selecting precise parameters.
• Lead clinical safety and compliance with radiation protection standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Support physicians during advanced procedures as a technical resource in the room.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications with strict safety standards.
• Verify image quality, patient history, and markers before submission for fast, accurate decisions.

Education

Associate's degree/Technical degree

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Capture high-fidelity diagnostic images by expertly positioning patients and selecting precise technical parameters, ensuring physicians have the clearest possible "roadmap" for treatment.
• Lead clinical safety and compliance by rigorously implementing radiation protection standards and regulatory guidelines to create a secure environment for patients and your colleagues.
• Support complex medical interventions by partnering directly with physicians during advanced procedures, acting as a vital technical resource in the room.
• Manage specialized clinical materials by accurately preparing and administering contrast media and medications, ensuring every dose meets strict safety and regulatory standards.
• Deliver "physician-ready" data by meticulously verifying image quality, patient history, and markers before submission, allowing the care team to make fast, accurate decisions.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Florida Radiologic Technology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What Additional Preferences We’re Seeking

• Prior experience in CT and X-ray
