Job summary

Ascension Saint John's imaging department in Saint Johns, FL is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in mammography to join the Outpatient Imaging team. You will perform advanced mammography procedures, educate patients, and help ensure high-quality diagnostic images.

The role requires Florida licensure, ARRT registration, and a commitment to radiation safety. You will collaborate with clinicians to maintain equipment and patient care standards, with a day shift, full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date.
• Florida Radiologic Technologist license required; Georgia-based associates exempt per posting.
• ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist; Mammography registry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute advanced mammography procedures with precise positioning and parameter selection.
• Educate patients on procedures and the importance of preventative breast health.
• Evaluate image quality for optimal contrast and definition before submission to PACS.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and routine equipment maintenance standards.
• Manage departmental workflows, including equipment troubleshooting and room upkeep.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Florida Department of Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Florida license requirements not applicable to associates working in Georgia.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Radiologic Technologist licensure required. Mammography registry preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
