Job summary

Agfa-Gevaert Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer to manage on-site support for AGFA DR/imaging products across assigned territories. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance and coordinate with project teams to ensure successful installations and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in field service with x-ray technology, strong networking and OS skills, and the ability to travel domestically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology field.
• 5+ years field work experience in a technical customer support role with x-ray equipment.
• 2-3 years in an expert or specialist role with x-ray technology.

Responsibilities

• Manage all AGFA imaging equipment in assigned territory, including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Assist peer Field Service Engineers out of territory when needed.
• Provide feedback on performance, reliability and design issues to US DR product team.
• Plan, execute and validate installations with Project Management and Installation Team.
• Identify DR prospects and support pre/post sales activities with sales team.
• Install, remediate and maintain Agfa DR and x-ray room systems.
• Review equipment operation with customers to meet training obligations.
• Respond promptly to hardware/software problems to ensure uptime.
• Interface with hospital IT admins and vendors to resolve technical problems.
• Ensure maximum DR/IMAGING uptime and performance of all Agfa systems.
• Install software/hardware and run performance analyses as needed.
• Escalate DR/IMAGING issues per procedures and keep stakeholders informed.
• Support customer system installations, upgrades and implementation activities.
