Job summary

The InterMed Group is seeking an Imaging Field Service Engineer to service and maintain imaging equipment nationwide, including MRI, CT and X-ray systems. You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and calibrations across client locations and must be prepared to travel for work.

Strong documentation and communication skills are required for accurate reporting and customer coordination. Experience with multiple modalities is preferred, and the role is full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Service one or more devices: CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, mammography.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and operation verification on imaging equipment.
• Repair, install and calibrate complex medical imaging equipment devices.
• Inform managers of repair status, inspections and customer concerns.
• Document service reports accurately and manage inventory as needed.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure proper service delivery.

InterMed sells and services medical equipment for our customers across the country and is growing quickly. As a result, InterMed is looking for an Imaging Field Service Engineer to perform repairs and preventive maintenance. This individual would be responsible for maintaining, inspecting and repairing imaging equipment for our accounts in the area and must willing to traveling for work. Accurate service reporting and documentation is a crucial aspect of this role. Experience with multiple modalities is preferred. This is a full-time benefited position. This field service engineer will service our client imaging locations located in Long Island, NYC, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Staten Island! Experience with MRI, CT and Xray a must. Experience with multiple modalities preferred.

Field Service Engineer Service Responsibilities

• Responsible for one or more of the following devices: general X-ray, CT, MRI, digital X-ray, , ultrasound, mammography and mobile X-ray.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the CT or MRI modality required
• Performs scheduled maintenance and operation verification procedures on complex medical imaging equipment
• Repairs, installs and calibrates complex medical imaging equipment devices and systems
• Informs managers of the status of repairs, scheduled inspections, unusual equipment situations and any customer concerns
• Performs periodic inspections of current inventory status and maintains inventory of common failure parts to ensure equipment uptime
• Works with, directs and documents the activities of subcontractors, vendors and outside service technicians to ensure proper service delivery

Preferred Qualifications

• A.S. Degree from an accredited school in electronics or DOD certification or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years working with Diagnostic Imaging Medical Equipment
• Experience working in medical facilities in a professional manner
• Ability to perform orderly and efficient work while adhering to medical facility policy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
