Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking an Field Engineer Apprentice to observe and perform service on diagnostic imaging equipment in hospital settings. This one-year apprenticeship aims to prepare you for a long-term career in field service at GE HealthCare.

You will work onsite with customers, supporting equipment in clinical environments, and you may transition to a full-time internal role upon program completion.

Qualifications

• Interpreting schematic diagrams and troubleshooting basic imaging/electronic equipment.
• Experience with preventive maintenance on diagnostic equipment.
• Strong communication and ability to explain technical issues to customers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and troubleshoot imaging equipment in hospital radiology environments.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance on designated equipment.
• Complete safety/environmental inspections per guidelines and GE policies.
• Document service and repair work per hospital protocol.
• Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and follow-up.
• Learn and maintain tools and test equipment and ensure calibration.
