Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Field Engineer Apprentice in Denver, CO. This onsite, one-year apprenticeship focuses on maintaining and repairing diagnostic imaging equipment in hospital settings while preparing for a long-term internal field service role.

You will work with a team at customer sites, learn safety and compliance standards, and may travel as needed. Successful completion may lead to a full-time position within GE HealthCare.

Qualifications

• AS, BS, MS degree, military education, certificate program, current student with less than 12 months from completion (with a cumulative GPA of a 2.0 or higher based on a 4.0 scale) or high school diploma/GED with 6 months experience servicing electronic, IT or mechanical equipment.
• Experience interpreting schematic diagrams and performing troubleshooting on basic diagnostic imaging or electronic equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Work within hospital radiology environment to evaluate and troubleshoot imaging equipment issues and implement appropriate repairs.
• Complete preventative maintenance on designated equipment.
• Perform safety and environmental inspections ensuring compliance with Health and Human Services and Environmental Health and Safety guidelines.
• Complete service and repair documentation following hospital protocol and GEHC policies & procedures.
• Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
• Learn and maintain proper care of tools, test equipment, calibration, and stay updated on standards and procedures.
• Mentor and assist more experienced technicians and contribute to efficient service delivery.
• Complete planned quality and compliance training within deadlines and report concerns to quality organization.
