Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Idaho is seeking Imaging Patient Care Specialists to provide front-line patient registration, insurance verification, and scheduling within Medical Imaging. The role offers progression across three levels, encouraging cross-training, onboarding, and leadership contributions while maintaining patient-centered care.

Level I focuses on greeting patients, data collection, and scheduling; Levels II and III add cross-training, audits, mentoring, and workflow

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in hospital/medical setting preferred.
• Knowledge of health insurance processes and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, families, physicians, and visitors in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Obtain, verify, and accurately record patient demographic, insurance, and billing information.
• Register patients and enter information into applicable systems.
• Schedule and order imaging procedures accurately and in a timely manner.
• Verify physician orders and ensure completeness of required documentation.
• Answer phones and respond to inquiries regarding imaging services.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support a positive patient experience by providing excellent customer service and promoting a healing environment.
