Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Charlotte seeks a Biomedical Imaging Equipment Technician to repair and maintain advanced diagnostic imaging systems. You will install, calibrate, and test equipment while supporting imaging staff and coordinating with physicists for QA testing.

The role requires 4–5 years of X-ray equipment repair experience, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma or GED. Travel to sites and on-call responsibilities may be involved.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of X-Ray Equipment Repair Experience Required
• Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Valid state driver's license
• Education Required: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience Required: Typically requires 2 years of experience in biomedical imaging, digital imaging technology, and networking technology

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs highly complex diagnostic imaging equipment and systems.
• Installs, calibrates and tests highly complex new imaging equipment and/or systems.
• Provides technical support and assistance to imaging staff.
• Acts as a technical resource for Biomedical Technicians and Imaging Technicians.
• Documents and maintains accurate records of inspections and repairs.
• Assists in training imaging staff on safe and proper use of equipment.
• Interacts with manufacturers and coordinates with radiation physicist for QA testing.
