Teledyne FLIR Defense in Orlando, FL is seeking an Engineering Intern within the Systems Technologies Group to collaborate with seasoned engineers on imaging, control systems, and embedded software projects for defense and public safety applications.

You will model and simulate control systems in MATLAB/Simulink, assist with image quality evaluations, and help port algorithms onto FPGA and embedded platforms, gaining hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• GPA 3.5 or higher.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Modeling and simulation of control systems using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Support testing and analysis of stabilization and tracking systems.
• Evaluate control system performance using test data.
• Develop tools and automation scripts for engineering analysis.
• Assist image quality evaluations and image processing algorithm testing.
• Embed and debug software components; assist with FPGA/embedded platforms.
