Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense in Orlando, FL is seeking an Engineering Intern within the Systems Technologies Group. You will work with experienced engineers on imaging systems, image quality, control systems, embedded software, and advanced algorithms to enable next-generation sensing capabilities.

The role lasts through 2027 with part-time hours in spring and fall, and full-time during summer. Pay is $35/hr; eligibility includes U.S. citizenship/nationality and export control considerations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.5.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Support modeling and simulation of control systems using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Assist imaging and image quality evaluations and algorithm testing.
• Support embedded software development in C++ and hardware platform integration (FPGA, embedded processor).
