Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense, a part of Teledyne Technologies, seeks an Engineering Intern in the Systems Technologies Group to work with engineers on imaging systems, control systems, embedded software, and algorithms to improve image quality and mission effectiveness.

The internship for 2027 runs all year—spring and fall part-time, summer full-time, at a pay rate of $35 per hour. U.S. citizen or export control eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.5.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with modeling and simulation of control systems using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Support testing and analysis of stabilization and tracking systems.
• Evaluate control system performance using collected test data.
• Assist with image quality evaluations and optimization of imaging systems.
