The Systems Technologies Group (STG) develops advanced imaging, image processing, embedded software, navigation, and control system technologies that improve product performance and mission effectiveness across a broad portfolio of electro‑optical and infrared (EO/IR) systems. STG serves as a centralized technology organization focused on developing, evaluating, testing, and deploying reusable technologies, algorithms, and engineering best practices. As an Engineering Intern within the Systems Technologies Group, you will work alongside experienced engineers and subject matter experts in imaging systems, image quality, control systems, embedded software, and advanced algorithm development. This internship provides hands‑on experience developing technologies that enhance image quality, improve system stability, and enable next‑generation sensing capabilities. The position is designed for students who are passionate about solving challenging technical problems and who are interested in applying engineering principles to real‑world aerospace, defense, and advanced sensing applications.
Required Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
Minimum GPA of 3.5 Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Preferred Experience or coursework in one or more of the following:
The internship ideally lasts all of 2027 – part time during the spring and fall semesters and full time during the summer semester. The pay is $35/hr. Alternative schedules can be discussed depending on the candidate. Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
