Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL seeks an Imaging Assistant on a PRN/per diem basis to support radiology operations in the evenings. You will help prepare radiographs, assist Radiologists, manage film handling, and coordinate with staff for patient care and procedures.

This role emphasizes patient safety, accuracy in imaging prep, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced hospital setting. Prior clinical or transport experience is beneficial, with a focus on flexible, as-needed

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Prior transport or patient care experience preferred but not required.
• Strong critical thinking and service orientation with good communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; lift up to 50 lbs with frequent lifting up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare multi-viewer for Radiologists.
• Prepare radiographs for viewing by Radiologist, including previous reports and films.
• Assist with consultation processes for special procedures with Radiologist.
• Handle film control, correspondence, customer and physician relations, phone calls and report distribution.
• Assist physicians, ER and OR with radiographic needs, patient transport and exam room prep.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Imaging Assistant - PRN/Per Diem

Coverage needed: Evenings Mon-Fri

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking an Imaging Assistant on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As an Imaging Assistant, you will perform various clerical functions as needed by department leadership and staff. You will also assist the radiologist with various functions of the radiology reading room.

Your tasks and responsibilities as an Imaging Assistant may include but are not limited to:

• Prepare multi-viewer for Radiologists

• Prepare radiographs for viewing by Radiologist, including previous reports and films

• Assist with consultation processes for special procedures with Radiologist

• Responsible for film control, correspondence, customer relations, physician relations, answering telephones, filing and calling reports to physicians

• Other duties may include assisting physicians, ER and OR with radiographic needs, patient transport and exam room preparation

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Prior transport or other patient care experience preferred but not required

• Critical thinking, service excellence, PC and good interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal instructions Lifting 50 lbs maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs
