Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville seeks an Imaging Tech Assistant to support radiology operations, assist Imaging Technologists and maintain patient comfort throughout exams. You will help with history forms, transport and positioning, and ensure a clean, safe workflow within a busy hospital department.

The role requires at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification within 30 days of starting. Successful candidates join a large healthcare system with comprehensive benefits.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical or imaging setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist Imaging Technologists and support department workflow.
• Complete history forms and transport patients as needed.
• Stock rooms with supplies and move patients onto/off exam tables.
• Monitor patients before and after exams and ensure comfort.
• Interact with radiologists, physicians, and staff; maintain department cleanliness.
• Answer phones per hospital protocol; support patient care and safety.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the direction of the department supervisor, assists the Technologists efficient work flow in the

department and with the comfort and care of patient.

1. Assists Imaging Technologists.

2. Completes appropriate history forms when necessary.

3. Stocks rooms with required supplies.

4. Transports patients when necessary.

5. Helps move patient onto and off exam tables.

6. Monitors patients before and after exams.

7. Makes sure patients are comfortable while waiting.

8. Interacts with radiologists, other physicians and other staff.

9. Assists in keeping department clean and orderly.

10. Answers phone following hospital protocol when needed.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
