Job summary

Corewell Health's Big Rapids Hospital is seeking an Advanced Imaging Assistant to support the Imaging Technologist in a busy diagnostic radiology department. This part-time, day-shift role focuses on patient care and adherence to safety and departmental policies.

You will interact with patients, help prepare exam areas, and ensure accurate, friendly service during Saturday and Sunday shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of relevant patient-care experience preferred.
• BLS certification required upon hire (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Imaging Technologist as needed within the Imaging department.
• Follow established imaging policies and procedures.
• Support patient-centered care and effective communication with patients and families.

Scope of work Under direct supervision the Advanced Imaging Assistant supports and assists the Technologist as needed following the established policies and procedures within the Imaging environment. Responsible for performing a wide range of duties as assigned by the Imaging department. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills. Follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of relevant experience patient care Preferred
• AHA or ARC CRT Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire
