Responsibilities

• Registers and pre-registers patients accurately using outpatient scheduling systems.
• Verifies patient demographics and insurance information.
• Obtains signatures and explains Massachusetts Health Care Proxy.
• Manages scheduling and uses Meditech for appointment booking.
• Greets and escorts patients to departments and provides directions.
• Distributes patient handouts and HIPAA information.
• Maintains printers and forms, ensures supplies.
• Retrieves prior medical history and radiology/x-ray exams.
• Operates Meditech and Amicas data entry and documentation.
• Maintains a safe, organized work area and follows safety protocols.
• Communicates with staff to coordinate patient care and expectations.
