Job summary

Alden Management Services in Illinois is seeking an AP Accounts Specialist for a full-time, full-cycle payables role at our corporate office in the North-West Chicago area. We require local candidates and a detail-oriented, team player able to meet monthly deadlines.

The position offers health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k) and paid time off, with a Monday–Friday schedule and an in-office work setting. Prior payables experience and Excel skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or finance.
• 2-4 years payables experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel; Solomon payables system knowledge a plus.
• Good oral and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle payables processing.
• Collect and match purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts.
• Code invoices to the appropriate GL accounts.
• Check for accuracy and proper approvals before entering them in the system.
• Process expense reports and distribute expenses.
• Reconcile vendor statements monthly.
• Initialize the selection of checks.
• Maintain daily and monthly reports on Excel spreadsheets.
• Communicate with vendors and facility personnel to obtain required information.
• Meet all monthly deadlines.
