Job summary

Inova Health System is seeking an Advanced Lung Disease (ALD) Coordinator to join the Transplant team. The ALD Coordinator will manage ILD patient care across outpatient clinics, coordinate diagnostics, imaging, PFTs, and multidisciplinary reviews, and facilitate transplant and supportive care referrals.

The role is full-time, day-shift, Monday–Friday with no weekends or holidays. Rotational remote on-call is required (roughly 3 weekends/year, 2 nights/month).

Qualifications

• RN with three years of experience and valid Virginia RN license.
• BLS certification required for clinical practice.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required to practice as an RN.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new patient intake and pre-visit planning, obtaining outside records and data.
• Coordinate ILD diagnostic workup and referrals per protocol.
• Monitor symptoms, oxygen needs, and test trends; communicate results.
• Educate patients on ILD, disease course, triggers, vaccines and rehab.
• Coordinate antifibrotic therapies, labs, and insurer approvals.
